About FLUK & the National Sports Foundation
Fitness and Leisure United Kingdom was formed in 2006 to utilise the investment made by the National Sports Foundation (NSF) to match donations from commercial bodies and also contributions from individuals into grassroots sport in England.

Creating New Partnerships for Sports the government investment has been set up to attract new investment in three key priority areas:

2012 Kids – getting more children and young people playing sport.
Women into Sport – involving more women in playing sport.
Fit for Sport – investment in clubs, coaches and volunteers in local communities.

The NSF is responsible for levering new and additional private investment into grassroots sport in England, and for promoting the benefits of investing in grassroots sport. This is a great opportunity for both investors and community sports organisations to work together to improve the sporting infrastructure of the country.

For the private investor there’s a chance to enhance brand profile, add value to existing Corporate Social Responsibility programmes and make a lasting impact on community sport in England. The increased investment in and commitments to community sport from the public and private sectors will grow sporting opportunities for all.
