What We Will Achieve
We are not looking to use all of your Carbon Offsets, a large number of fantastic schemes are controlled by the European Commission, and work to reduce emissions. We believe that a proportion of Carbon Offsets in education can make a big difference to emissions in the UK. Example of Programme & CO2 emission: The average emissions by every individual in the UK is 10.9 tonnes of CO2 per annum. The cost of each ton of emission is calculated at £7.50, each child will immediately make a 10% reduction in emission which is worth the cost of the programme. What makes the programme beneficial is that a 10 year old child making a reduction in emissions over the remainder of their life will save over 70 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Why act now? |
